Love my V1, but can't they develop a filter for Infiniti's laser and Audi's radar? I try and stay focused and on my toes when driving. Hit my brakes hard more than once, specially the laser, and I don't want to cause any accident.

Well you do have the arrows.
I have "t" enabled and it does slow the Odyssey that passed me. I don't think the signal strength went past half way on K-band.
There are radar based systems and there are laser based systems.
The t feature may help with the radar based systems but suntzuaow is also experiencing a laser assisted cruise control system found on the Infinity. I have also experienced this laser system on the Infinity, Lexus, and some Toyota models.
Yeah, indeed. And in Northern California, Infiniti SUVs are getting more and more prevalence, to the point that I no longer take my V1's laser alerts seriously. The K band radar based systems aren't as annoying (yet), but if every car has one, then we'll have issues. Escort's detectors seem to be able to filter those systems out fairly well, while the V1 with TSR still reacts to some Mercedes/Honda systems at close range.
The worst part about it is that the reason for these false alerts is because of things that shouldn't be in a car in the first place.
The detector is doing what it is supposed to do pick up radar and laser signals even if it is not from a police vehicle.
Turning POP mode off may help with the Audi K band lane assist. As far as laser you are SOL, other than disabling the laser detection altogether.

When I bought my first RD, it was a bit of a learning curve on distinguishing the difference between falses and the real deal. Needless to say, I picked up on fairly quick b/c I soon learned/remembered where the known falses where on my normal driving routes.
Well, it was sort of the same thing with the V1. I disabled POP and Ka Guard b/c I wanted the detector to as speedy as possibly on 34.7 and 35.5 since these are my main threats in my area. I couldn't believe all the Ka falses with Ka guard turned off. But I soon learned to distinguish the difference between the real deal and a false on Ka.
The V1 is such an awesome product and the fact that it does not have all kinds of filtering bogging and slowing it down makes it that much more awesome to me!
