just purchased V1 gtp, concealed disp, blendmount. couple questions.

i have since adjusted the mount all the way up raising the detector all the way to the mirror. makes a huge difference.



here is the concealed display. i just used 3m velcro no damage wall mount. right now the wire is not hidden for about 8" but before i started drillin holes etc. i wanted to make sure i liked it there.

Actually the blend mount set up looks perfect!!! As for the V1 CD, is it located below, in front of your shifter??? If so, I think that would be too low to view...

Yeah the truck has a full console with cup holders, shifter etc. that little cubby is below the radio in front of the shifter.
I like the hidden non obtrusive location of it but like u said it is a little low. I really haven't driven with it at night yet so I might end up moving it eventually

Try to relocate the display around the dashboard, preferably at eye level at best...

Yeah it really makes no sense to mount the V1 below the RVM and have the CD sit so low.

the whole point of the CD is to be out of sight of other drivers so they cant see your main V1 going nuts at night through your window.. or cops following you at night etc...

the only thing i dont like about it being so low is i have to look down to see it. so it will prob get moved.

another thing i really dont like is you have to keep unplugging/plugging the unit if you want to use it. their is no on//off switch. kind of stupid

Hey did you move your CD up higher??? That's all it is, a concealed/remote display, not really a control panel...

yep. much better. still managed to use the 3m non damaging/stick velcro stuff. (if you look close you can see the pull tab thing on the left side) wont mess the interior up at all, doesnt move, and because of the velcro you can take it off easily to hide it. . this is perfect. the wire fits perfectly in the gap around the steering column.


then i took another pic of the V1 adjusted higher up to the final position as close to the mirror as possible.

It really is much much better at that new location!!! Right next to the speedo too...

Yeah I love it there. It only blocks two dash lights. The light if I switch to toe mode, but I can see the prnd shift indicator change on the dash also so that's not a big deal.

Then if I switch the trac control off, which I never really do so I'm good
