Newest Verison of V1?

What is the newest verison on v1? I am considering selling my escort 8500 x50 and buying a V1. Is the V1 any better then the Escort x50?

Is it better then x50, I think so. You have arrows, rear laser and radar antenna, and better laser range.

And upgradeability, and great customer service... and the V1 never becomes obsolete because it can always be upgraded to the latest specs. Sure I'm biased, I've been a V1 owner since about '92 or '93, and I owned quite a few regular detectors before that.

I think the raw performance of the X50 and V1 are similar but I own both and use the V1 99% of the time. The directional arrows work very well and you miss them when using other RDs.

Also, the windshield mount is MUCH better than any other detectors I've used. You would think that other companies would include a better mount since it's such an inexpensive feature! :roll:

Overall, the V1 is a higher quality product. Belscort's top models are very good but they aren't in the same league, IMO.

what others said V1 has a rear radar antenna, arrows, better laser, best x, k, and ku range, better windshield mount, tough case, and UPGRADEABILITY!!
