V1 Upgrades
Has anyone compiled a list of the previous V1 upgrades and the dates they became effective over the past couple of years?
(i.e. 3.826 - December 2005 - Improved J function)
Also, it would be nice to see what did each revision improve. I'm curious as to how often updates take place.
None that we know of. It would take an insider to know what happens in each software upgrade.
You can get a general idea if you go to V1 program page. It will show you what software verisons had what options.
I thought Jim posted or someone did the updates and when they occured.
I thought someone did the upgrades with the month as well but I could not find them anywhere.
Can anyone post these?...I would if I knew them....Do the updates happen about every 6 months or so?
The one I remember was posted by Brick I think...
Here's what I've got, in the order of the firmware versions. I'm sure people will have some things to add:
3.813 - Last non-POP version
October 2004
3.817 (Hardware Upgrade)- 1st POP version, "POP1". No "junk alert" feature?
December 2004
3.818 - "POP2". Added "junk alert" feature?
June 2005 (Yes the date is correct!)
3.819 - An attempt by VR to fix "J" alert on real threats (was free upgrade for 3.817 & 3.818)
April 2005
3.821 (Hardware Upgrade) - First version with Euro Mode
May 2005
3.824 - Attempt by VR to fix "J" alert on real threats problem for 3.821 units
June 2005
3.825 - Fixes K-Band Muting problem with 3.824(Option 7)
December 2005
3.826 - Fixed bogey lock tone for K-Band, and ghosting

How do we find out about these software updates? The upgrade function in the VR website wont tell you the software updates
Do we just know when someone buys one and discovers a new version or direct communication with a VR rep?

Jim, Thank you. That is exactly what I was talking about. Is this worth a sticky? Since things will change going forward. People may want to see this in the future. yeah or neah? Also, on the June 2005 where you say yes the date is correct.....why is that not in chronological order? I'm not following that one.
