Setting for So. Cal

I just got my V1 would like help for the So. Cal area setting. LA area and what CHPs uses. :?: Will try it all out but I sure someone knows a lot more than me. Thanks.

Unfortunately I am not a resident of Cali.... :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: But I know they use primarily KA.

lets keep it simple.


anyone just starting out with the V1.... USE (L) mode.

period.


if you know X band isnt used in your area/s, turn X off and run in (A) mode.


if you are feeling dangerous, then you can tinker with k band muting. (not a fan of it)

I know (L) is for city. (A) is more highway. Don't quite understand what the small (l) is for.

Did some searching on the passed threads and found the Cali. is using KA, K, Laser, Pacing, and Airborn VASCAR.

I don't know was the city's are using ie. Los Angeles, Pasadena etc.

What is the difference in the settings of (L) vs (A) with x off?

Besided the setting in placing the RD I like it over my RVM because it rests on the top of it but I read somewhere that it wasn't a good spot to put it if you had the factory sun tint. If this true? If so then it would have to be below the RVM and not even in the sun viser.
