OK...So X-Band Stays On!

For all who cautioned me to not turn X-Band off...THANK YOU!

I found out today that the Lone Tree PD uses X. I was on I-25 when I started getting X-band at level 2. It gradually rose to full strength through the course of about a mile and sure enough, there was a Lone Tree PD Hummer H3 clocking people.

I wasn't speeding, so it wasn't a "save," but it was a good lesson learned!

Yeah, I know. It's like they spent so much on the truck that they can't afford real radar.

Actually, there was QUITE a flap over the LTPD's hummers. I believe they purchased 6 of them, and people were PISSED. The justification was that in their old Blazers, they couldn't get to a plane crash that happened a few years back, so the Hummers were necessary for rescue ops. Yeah. Riiiiight. Anyway, they apparently got them for something like $28K each, fully loaded with the police package.

And I couldn't believe this guy was trying to hide his hummer behind a jersey barrier. Dude....it kind of stands out....
