    Default Pro 78 KA False

What can cause a KA False? My Pro 78 seems to be getting more KA alerts and pulses than it should. For instance, I am driving down a two lane country road with nothing but rice fields on the sides of me and it decides to go off? Settings are:

    Highway and City 1/2
    Filter 2
    POP off
    Laser On

    Any ideas? Defective?

Then I have no idea, man. I get a Ka false on Peterson AFB, between some HQ buildings, that I think comes from communications signals. Other than that, I RARELY get Ka falses. That's why when it alerted yesterday to Ka, I KNEW it was a LEO.

Tibby I have noticed mine going off around a cell tower out in the middle of no where. It only seems to do it when POP is on. You have POP off and Filter 2, so I'm not sure what it could be...noticed any cell/communications towers in that area?

Hmmmm...you don't have a leaky Cobra in your trunk by accident do you?!?!

Although I know you would hate to send in a new detector, you might want to have Whistler take a look just to make sure everything is ok...

Mike offered to check it out so it's on its way to Whistler. Its under warranty anyways. BTW Thank you for taking care of me so quickly.

Excellent! I'll bet you won't be without for too long either. The good thing is that when you get it back you will know it is 100% because it will be verified and tested. It will eliminate that nagging question in the back of your head, "Is this thing working correctly??"

Two thumbs up for Mike B!
