I received my 690SE yesterday.
So far so good. I have not encountered any Ka yet but I have already noticed that it is more sensitive on K band than my old Pro73.
I REALLY like the bright red display, it is VERY easy to see.
One minor complaint, the bracket release button/mechanism needs some work. Removing the RD from it's bracket is not as easy/smooth as it should be. I have to hold the bracket with one hand while removing the RD with the other hand. I did not have to do this with my old Pro73.
And...one small quibble, I wish that Whistler would redo their owner's manual, the small print is VERY hard for us "old folks" to read, especially the settings chart. At the very least they should redo the on-line PDF owner's manual to show INDIVIDUAL pages instead of 3 at a time (this should be very easy for Whistler to do), that way a person could print each page any size they want.

but PRO78 se come in box
