So, I passed by in front of a CHP station today and my whistler alerted me of 34.7 Ka. I think either a LEO was hiding somewhere or they just forgot to turned off their radar. Or is it a false alert?

Probably a legit alert. Question is if your Whistler gave you enough time to slow down or would it have.
So, I take it I have my first saved?
First save? That depends on whether you were well over the PSL enough to get ticketed?
When a Whistler SE alerts a 34.7 ID you'd also better be alerted!
:
There is a Utah Highway Patrol local station I pass going to/from work every day. These guys turn on their radar when they start their engines in the parking lot, which I pick up on the overpass overlooking their parking lot.
When I got my window tint done, it was a place across the street from them. I left the Redline plugged in and it was funny to get so many 'multiple signals detected' Ka alerts from the shift change at the UHP station.

So it is a save I think.
It's better to slow down near the scales, radar or not.
