I just got my v1 in the mail via ebay.I went for my first drive with it and it didnt go off at a light that i know shoots x-band....wTF....is there a way to turn off bands on the v1???? If there is then i need to know how to turn them back on and K-band is turned off to....HHAHAHAHA please help

WHen you turn it on, if it flashes "P" then that means that something has been changed in the programming. Here's the info on programming it:

thats because pop mode is active from the factory.... if you turn off pop it wont flash pop!!

seems to me like x band has been turned off....

all the arrows should point up!! part from h which is ku band and if you want ku ban on it should point down!!!

UHHHH-ohhh....lol i turned every thing to "up" and it still dosnt detect x or k....lol im just gona send it to v1 to get pop/2 upgrade.It turns on fine and i dont think they test the unit fearther then power up....

this is a prime example of a problem that can be expierced on Ebay....did the seller misrepresent his product, saying it worked when it didn't?

I do lots of ebaying...Most the stuff on there is either 1)Stolen 2)Broken 3)reburished 4)replica..But you can find honest people tryin to sell things just be very very careful

Things you have to look at is how long they have been a ebay seller because if they only been selling stuff for like 6 months then it's prolly bc they sell crap and they cancel the account before people complain....

Another thing is their satisfaction.... I never buy from anyone under 99.8% because soon as you go to a lower level seller it's prolly bc they are selling stuff that is one of the 4 i listed above....

In your case I have seen people who try to modify their V1 and they end up screwing up their unit and they sell it saying.. Powers Up and item is sold "AS IS" This means they know something is wrong with it and want nothing to do with it.....

This seller is a complete disaster. I personally would not have bought the gem of all gems off this guy. Hope that VR will fix it

yes 95.8% feedback isn't the best, I hope you inform ebay that the product is not in mint condition.

email the seller asking him what he ment by mint. Does that means it will detect all bands

And please have Valentine do diagnostic testing..If there is a problem, i would talked to ebay and get this seller's name withdrawn

Is the serial number on the bottom? As VR won't touch it without.
If so they do good repair work and usually waive the 45.00 charge.
They even shipped mine back second day air no charge.

lol..yea the serial number is in fine condiction and i called v1 and asked if it was reported stolen, and it wasnt so i think im good on an upgrade,,i also sent the seller this email....."i just i wont a 50 dollar refund, and i will leave hyou a good feadback,but if no refund im going to leave you a bad feadback"..ahah a lil black mail....

File a Paypal buyer complaint for a misrepresented item. paypal almost always rules in the buyers favor.

By the time you spend money on upgrades,repaires and shipping your bill is probably up to how much you would have spend to get a new one at a vr.

I got screwed getting my X50 on Ebay. I got a rev. 3, when the latest rev is a 5.

i got my V1 on ebay 2, not fromt the store though...works fine :D ...maybe u have it in Advanced Logic, which ignores X-band in most cases....????
