hello from malaysia

hello there, im from malaysia. I bought a radar detector from my friend who went to Japan last week..But my friend did not give me the manual to use it.. I try to surf through internet to find it.But the result was none..Anyone can help me??

My radar model is SUPER CAT RX-22G
the description on the radar is
X-K TWIN BAND RECEIVE
SUPER TRAP SHOOTING SYSTEM
AUTO ALARM CONTROL III
AUTO SENSITIVITY SELECT

I know nothing about this radar..sorry about that!!!Anyone can help me on method to use it? any information about it?..

I have never seen one that looks like that.....try a google search would be the only thing that I can think of.

Not old... in Japan they only use X and K, so in Japan all the RD's only get X and K...

Well Japan has lots of embedded-in-pavement sensors too.

I don't know what Malaysia uses for speed enforcement. If it's only X and K, then you're fine. If not, then you aren't.

Using radar detector is illegal in Malaysia..Is it possible I been trapped using this radar detector?

Well you could get caught using the detector if they have Radar Detector Detectors there like they do in some other various countries. So be carefull. Also do not go around speeding untill you can varify that only X and K bands are used. They could get you with KA , Laser, or KU. 3 Bands you don't have.

Mount your detector on the dash, hidden in a Klenex Box or something so its not so visable. (In the case your detector can only pick up X and K) and you should be fine.

Gtti, the sensor is not installed saparately..it is like other radar detector..the silver plate that you saw is it's stand..

Im now using this radar detector..But still not meet the malaysian enforcement..But when I reach at any telecomunication antenna above building, the detector will sounded..

Try testing the radar detector against cops using radars. If the detector is not beeping, then try to memorize the type of the gun used.
Or if you have any friends in your local police departement, you can ask him of the types of radars used in your country.
