Yesterday driving on the highway to Miami I encountered a Ka "What is Your speed" sign on a construction zone. As far as I know they work with K band, right??. But my X50 reported it from about 3/4 to 1 mile.

Also before that, same day but a couple of hours before (it is a 5 hours drive) I had two Ka alerts from one trooper, which when I got closer from behind the car I got about 200 feet of alert about 4. Then got full alert at about 100 feet and about 300 feet after passing him then went down normally.

Is it ok, I think it is but a Ka speed sign????

Yeah its a Ka speed sign....or its the form of SWS that reports in K band or KA...because you do not have SwS on the detector

somewhere on this forum someone reported a ka speeed sign in FL so i know that that alert is correct..also he could have had both front and rear on creating two signals and there was a leaky detector/speed sign/another cop far away/ghosting
