250.00 budget what should i buy

Well peeps i'm back from serving overseas,and as much as i had my lil fingers ready for a V1 or RX-65,i had to purchase a new vehicle.So with doing that,my detector budget had to be lowered.So i have a new budget of 250.00.I live in upstate ny(Fort Drum),and travel between here and Maryland a few times a year.Anyones suggestions would be greatly appreciated..Thanks in advance for your help..

Or you could look for a used x50/V1/RX65. Just be careful when dealing with used products.

Yeah i thought of used but if it was something inexpensive then i wouldn't mind,but for 250.00 i would rather get something that i can have a warranty with that way i'm covered.

then id say go with the 995, its a good all around RD for the price, obviously not top 3 performance, but not too far off either............ an excellent RD for the price

Best advice I could give would be to cough up $16 more and order a Vector 995 from Roy. Tell her the extra $16 is shipping. Be sure to point out that at a certain big-box retail store and most truckstops that the 995 goes for $299+TAX. :)

What's wrong with the RX-55?the performance isn't that great and many people have had issues with it.

The best detector in your price range is the BEL Vector 995. I still use mine around town and lend it to friends when they go on road trips

I get a RX 65 for the area you live in I believe it is mostly KA. so i would save up also i'm sure if you PM Roy he will help you out.

What's the difference between the 995 that Roy sells and the i995(gray body) that Bel sells on their site,cuz i don't see one except for the packaging..

I actually stop by the base once and did six years of driving in that area i went to Suny Potsdam and Suny Canton for six years traveling from NY through Watertown and up to Potsdam so you really want to be careful with laser from NYSP and moving KA that's the prefer method of the NYSP. What ever detector you get keep your eyes well ahead and usually you can see them before they can get your speed. I hope this help and good luck...

theres no point to pay 250 for a decent detector when u can just get one of the best detecors around for just 50 dollars more

if u save now its better because if u buy a decent one now u haver to save up more money in the long run if u wanana eventually get a more expensive one

then the 995 is good, if you intend to sell it off it has a higher resale value, if you intend to keep it its a good back up or RD for your GFs car, either way the 995 is a winner

I say get the X50 (red). I know your budget is $250.00, but if you PM Roy he will get one to you for $275.00 and this includes shipping. I know your going over by $25.00 bucks but it will be worth it. This was my cost for an X50 (red) form Roy so I know he will do the same for you. Hope this helps.

Oh yeah a couple of bucks goes a long way in my home :D Especially since i just picked up a brand new 07 Mercury Milan 8) .Well spoke to Roy and he gave me a great price on an X50!! With going with the x50 i can look into the Escort Zr3shifter in tha future..
