Whatever will our cops think of next?
Here´s a short videoclip of how slovenian police are overcoming their shortage of manpower. Ignore the audio, just watch the pictures :D .

very funny , I hope they issue fake ticket !

the same idea was used in WW2 , some english tanks were made

of carton , it worked untill the Germans discovered the '' pot aux roses''

in Quebec one town used to park an empty Leo car all day on the main

street to afraid motorists , it worked , untill the mayor said

it was a misuse of police equipment and stopped the subterfuge.

My mouth dropped open when I saw the police setting up the decoy... Amazing.

We have those large programmable construction signs here that tell you your speed with K band... I've seen ones not equiped with radar saying this:

POLICE
AHEAD

(next screen)

SPEED
? ?

whats interesting is how lifelike they make them. If I were speeding, I probably wouldn't notice that it was a cardboard cutout.

Wow, do they issue tickets off those fake boards? Are they like a photo radar/laser thing or are they used just to scare you?

They are just there to scare you into slowing down

You know, as silly as this concept is it really doesn't bother me. Whereas most speed traps exist to raise money, these are designed to slow people down. Their intentions are to enhance safety rather than revenue.

Something like this is just begging for "decoration," though. Ever seen a cop shooting laser in a tu-tu?

"Ever seen a cop shooting laser in a tu-tu?"

No but with the way its going, I wouldnt be surprised. I dont know who would be more embarassed when he came to issue me a ticket, me or him??
