Just got my V1 today :-)

Just got my V1, and i must say one word.. WoW.. what a great piece of machinery...and i dont know where all this "falsing" talk is coming from that the V1 is supposed to be doing, my X50 falsed way more. The arrows are a nice touch as well. Picked out a couple cops just while driving around this morning. I say the V1 is a keeper. ;)

The v1 has more sensitivity and a wider veiw, I think you are mistaking on that statement.

I have both right now... and right now the V1 is not satisfying me right now.

I've now got both units, too. The X50 is clearly superior at in-town filtering. It's a very good value from what I can tell.

I dont know what V1 you got, but everyone, but EVERYONE, says the V1 falses more, due to worse filtering, or more sensitivity, or for whatever other reasons.

That does not make much sense especially if you are talking about X and/or K band "falses." I would be very nervous if the V1 is in all bogeys mode, and it did not false in the same places that the X50 does. Something may be wrong with the detector.

btw i didn't say that my V1 doesn't false.. just normally where i get a X band false and a K false in 2 places where the X50 falsed... mabye that source of the false is no longer there? Keep in mind it was just a normal route i take .. i might have misworded what i was trying to say and was a bit excited with the new toy... the V1 did happen to keep a false that i get downtown alot longer than the X50 kept the false singal..

Wouldn't it be ironic if there was a new software that improved all the current problems. Current is 3.824

Check the setting maybe the sensitivity is down or auto mut is enables on the V1

Did you actually go into the programing mode and look at the firmware version by pushing in the the power button and then turning it on while holding it in for a few seconds?
If you didnt catually check then can you please?

I bought my V1 last week from Mike and it falses less than my RX 65 did. Even on A mode to highway mode. L to Autoscan. Less falses. V1 is my choice. :D

The Advanced logic mode is comparable to an x50 on auto when it comes to falsing on xband. Some X band slips through on the V1, but it is by far MUCH quieter in L mode. I think I found my favorite mode.

absolutely correct. the people that claim that the V1 falses too much are the ones that dont know how to use the V1 correctly.

They also dont understand that it is twice the detector than its competition.

Wider horns, more sensitivity, and less falses? Cant have all 3 in one package. When they do- thats when they have created the ultimate detector.

I think FinaL was just really excited about his new V1 and he just said " it doesnt false as much as my x50 does" which MAY be a true statement, my v1 doesnt false at ALL the spots my x50 did, but than again it picks up some that the x50 didnt. so it goes both ways. I dont think anythings WRONG with his detector, hop off the poor guys nuts and let him enjoy his GREAT detector! Congrats FinaL!

Yea, it was removed. I could have stated that it broke a rule, and pointed you to a thread where Roy was talking about the ignore option. I believe he said there was a way to ignore members, and that was by not coming to the board.
