so me and two of my hoe's (my girlfriend and an old friend of mine) are going to get some ice cream. we are on a relatively slow street that leads to two parkways, when my X50 picks up a weak Ka band signal. then i notice that there are TWO weak Ka signals, but they are of the same strength. i pass a "donut trap" (cop left the radar on and went in the diner), and the signals fade. i only saw that one car, and have traveled this area before and dont remember picking up a Ka signal, even tho Ka falsing is rare. could it have been that his radar unit had a rear and front facing antenna, and it picked out both? any input would be good, i thought it was strange....

Most all the cruisers I see here in MA I get two bars on my X50. Just today I had a statey on detail that probably left it on to slow people with RDs down. Two K bars in expert mode. Also the day before I had another statey already pull someone over give me two Ka bars

Reflected and direct RF from the same source is another theory, causing one strong and one weak signal.

Reflected and direct RF from the same source is another theory, causing one strong and one weak signal. This happened to me yesterday. A LEO had someone pulled over on the side of the highway. He was running Ka, pointed forward. When I approached from behind, my V1 sounded Ka, then as I passed the cruiser, went to 2 Ka, one front, one rear for a few seconds until I was about 100 yards past the cruiser. Then the 2nd bogey dropped off and I just got full scale, 1 Ka from the rear.

I figured this was from the signal bouncing off cars in front of me. He wasn't running dual, as the signal was weak until after I passed the cruiser.

That's a very good example.
