I was just wondering if I could damage my x50 by leaving it in the car? Comming from ontario the temp ranges anywhere from -20c at night in the winter to say 40c during the day in the summer (i believe thats about -10F to 110F).
Thanks for the input.
unlikely to damage but it might false when starting until it warms up. my sti is still fine after 4 months in canadian weather even though it falses every single time it starts up when the car is cold.

This is not your biggest worry my friend........
The X50 is NOT immune to the Spectre............
Something you should consider in Ontario.

I still havent seen a Spectre up here yet, and I've been looking hard and wide, but that doesnt mean it aint up here.
My job takes me all along the southern ontario highways so I see plenty of leos around, I have my GPS unit locked with many of their speedtrap locations but still cannot find a Spectre around.

Probably won't kill your X50 to leave it in the car but personally, I would take it out at night. You are living in a place where I'm sure others would love to get their hands on that X50. As for the Spectre item, the O.P.P must really be hiding these gadgets.

Be assured that the Spectre DOES exsist in Ontario.
I have personally seen 3.
One member posted that Peel Regional got him with a Spectre and of course Sonny Stone lost his V1 to a Spectre equipped OPP cruiser.
(Sonny tried to fight the RD ban in court)
So they are out there.

the ratio of RDDs on the road is greatly in favor of the VG2 and the X50 is VG2 immune........... anyways, to the original point.......... it can get to those situations of temperature here in Texas too, and my RD is up on my windshield all the time, because its such a pain to take it of and put it on all the time since the cups all suck anyways(haha a pun!!!!!!, they Dont suck, so they suck..hahah...... OK i'll shut up now)

I have a lot of respect for SonnyS. He fought long and hard to win his case. Unfortunately he didn't win but for all the time and effort he spent fighting his case, I have a lot of respect for him. Hats off to your SonnyS if your still out there.

If I left my RD in my car. I'd leave it in a case to protect it. Don't let ANYTHING touch the eye of the detector ;).
