Hi All,
I would like to take the time to notify everyone that as far as my town is concerned I am seeing a lot more RD's on people's windshields now. It is extremely rare to see even 1 RD in a month in my town and lately I have been seeing at least one or two a DAY! Shocking as that is I also believe the CHP are getting smarter because they are using IO a lot more as well.
Now for my area this is like major news because it has never been like this. Which makes my eyes more valuable than my RD. So has anyone else notice an increase in RD users in their area?
In other news I am sending in my V1 for a check-up and then my RX65 after that before the warranty runs out. I hope 3.861 (or higher) is as good as my 3.858 has been to me.

X2 here. I have a 3.858 and am sending my second V1 (3.818) in for a tune-up and upgrade as well. 3.858 has been great with no issues and am hoping for same with 3.861 (or latest version).

Don't know the current survey as far as number of RD users. Before it was only 15% of the population a couple years ago. But until now, i see a high number of drivers who drives 10-20 mph over PSL on the interstate without a radar detector. Seems like more and more drivers are always in a hurry and speeding without a radar detector and i see it everyday them passing by me.

Yeah and it seems that most of them have their RD "hanging" from the windshield with the antenna pointing to the sky. :?

Specially women drivers. :) :) If she's cute, my eyes don't care if her RD is "hanging" wth the antenna pointed upwards because i don't look at the RD anyway.

I feel naked without my detector. those people are like sitting ducks that a chp can pick off in a second.

With greedy agencies the way they are and RD products getting better and more user friendly, it's no wonder they are becoming more popular :) Imagine how pissed the p.i.g's would get when they (RD's/jammers) become as common as Sat Navs

I'm not sure if this is it, but have you ever noticed that when you start to be interested in a particular thing, that you start thinking about it more and because you're thinking about it more, you're noticing things that remind you of it more, and so you think that it must be like a trend because yo'ure noticing it more? It happened with me and surfboards, the more I got into it, the more I noticed surfboards on cars. Now, is the popularity of surfing increasing? or am I just aware of it more, so I notice it more, and therefore I think it's increasing, but the same amount of cars with a surfboard now is equal to say 5 years ago.
I've noticed that with RDs too, as I've gotten more interested in them, I've been noticing them in cars more, but does that mean they're getting more popular, or am I just on the lookout for them?

I to have noticed an increase in radar detectors in vehicles.
And the sad thing about it is , most are cobra's.

X2. I don't recall ever seeing one non-Cobra detector in my town. I saw two kids with an X50 driving around here once, but they were from another state. Every day I see one more person with one of those detectors.
Now, if they didn't set my RD off, I would have no problem with Cobra user, but, that's not the case, and it seems every day I'm getting false alerts from another ignorant Cobra owner (In my town at least)

I see lots of Crapras and Whistlers on windshields mainly. Occasionally I'll see an 8500 or X50, and the V1's distinct shape makes it easy to identify in the rare instance I see one.
There's still plenty of RD-less rabbits out there though, too.
