So I now have a V1 and an RX-65 and was wondering if I can use the direct wire adapter that came with the V1 to power up the RX-65? I ohmed out the connectors they appear to be the same but I was looking for confirmation. I'm not trying to use the smart cords or anything, it would just be nice to install the V1 direct wire adapters in all my cars so the RD's can be interchangeable without having to move the cords. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for posting RR? Yeah you can power up the 65 just fine with the V1 hardwire kit and vissa versa.

The X50/RX65 smartcord can be used to hardwire a V1. However, obviously the smartmute button won't do anything.
If you use the smartcord to hardwire a V1, you won't be able to press that big knob button on the V1 to lower the volume. Other than that, it works decently. I don't know why this happens, but I really wouldn't recommend doing this.
I'm not sure about the direct wire, but this problem might be with that as well. I'd check your big button.
