And yes, I do believe that radar detectors can detect the Multanova. I think it runs on K and Ka (34.3)?

That is a speed camera. It used the international Ka narrow frequency. It is very hard to detect, especially if it is shooting in the direction of traffic.

Typically they get the speed from shooting you as pass. V1 users have only reported 30-40 meters advanced warning (90 - 120 feet) :cry:

I believe your's are the mobile type that are on the back of vans or parked on the side of the highway.

If they are built in, get a GPS and many forums have North American and European speed cameras on a "point of interest" file that you can easilly upload. Similar to the navalert on radarbusters.com but you can use the GPS you already have or want to have.

In this case its Multanova's K-band model, the Multaradar C. Its like a 6F but in K-band and newer.

Harder to detect than normal K band radars due to its low power of emission, but works in the 24,100GHz K band so any detector with euro K band (24,125GHz) should pick it up. Even american detector with the american K band, 24,150GHz since they are so similar in frecuency.

I have heard the Beltronis STi does a especially good job at picking these up.

regular remote detectors from Bel (975 and Target 966 Europe model) got big problems to detect this radar.

Even the Stinger DSI got a hard job in it I believe.

Heard that the Bel STI detects it better than the Bel 975/966 but maybe it's got to do with the polarisation of the remote detectors in Europe.

Is that a low powered unit to conserve battery power or is it designed to be difficult to detect.

My family overseas says their V1 in euro mode (V1.8) does not give 120 feet warning like discussed on here. They said it is more like 60 feet, but their is a forum that has the usuall places for these all over Europe so you need a GPS.

it's the same cam as HAROLD posted. and they are mobile with the patrol. they can put anywhere they want. my detector, which is a cheap one called microfusion, detects only when i get near to it. how can i get warned? is the spry for the number plate work with this cam?

The output power of this radar is very low.

The Gatso 24 radar has got a high power output compared with the Multaradar C.

I did hear this radar got 3 switchable levels of output power.

I know this radar sometimes got difficulties with measuring because of the low power. Got more falses then Gatso radar.

Multaradar C works on 24.100 Ghz (K band) and it's not difficult to detect it if you have a good radar detector.
Multanova 6F works on 34.3 Ghz (Ka band narrow!) and only few radar detectors like V1, Bel EURO 550, Bel XR AU/NZ, Bel XR650 give you early warning and a very good distance.

The picture that Harold post is a Multaradar C and police in my country use the same!

The Multaradar here in Holland is used al lot with measuring the back of you're car as you can see in the picture that I posted (not the front).

Apparently it's a badass when it comes to detecting. It's a computer (I forgot what you guys called it.) Supposed to have better detection normal radar detectors. And it's also expensive as hell. :lol:

christosxo which city of cyprus are you from? i am from nicosia. guys, what is a good detector for laser speed camera and this Multaradar C, so far in Cyprus i have seen only these two kinds of cams(except the GPS cams).

Stinger DSI is a combination of radardetection (Ka narrow 34.3 ghz and K band) and a GPS system for fixed radarsystems via POI.
With some more features and not detectable by the RDD, but this is the basics thats the most important.

I think it's the best remote detector. I've also got a Bel 915 and a Bel Target 966 Europe. The DSI is better.

So I hope you can give me names of (a) detector(s) that perform good on the Multa radar C
