No, there really isn't anything practical you can do...

I was able to tweak my old Bel 966W, but I highly doubt my hand tuning made it better than when it left the factory back in 1992. ;)

No, there really isn't anything practical you can do...Lots and lots of aluminum foil, cardboard, and tape. It may get you seen sooner, though ;)

Throw it at the next car that cuts you off and buy a new top 3 or 5 RD :)

Gut it out....have a flashing LED on it....and wha-la...a brand New RMR!
actually, a few years ago I bought a BEL 944 Express X/K/Ka photo radar only for a few bucks at a garage sale. Called BEL to see if they could add new technology to that "box" (I liked the style of the 944 express)...and they said "impossible".
