Saying they have grown tired of waiting for the state Legislature to pass a law allowing local governments to crack down on red-light runners, the Collier County Commission and Collier County Sheriff’s Office have decided to craft a local ordinance that would give the county control over the matter.
The County Commission agreed Wednesday to move forward with drafting the ordinance for possible adoption at a later date.
