after all the reviews i've read, in deed only the compass is doin good.now im frustrated about my cobra.what will i do ?

Disable Spectre and VG2 detection, they're of no use in Illinois. The false emergency signals just happen with Cobra, nothing that you can do there, and I'd say to disable the POP too, because the Cobra's POP detection is so bad, it's not worth the falses.

Go with Whistler Pro 58 or 73. Way better pop detection than any cobra.
