I just want to see what people use.
And if there is a reason why you use one lets hear it.

Oh and is there any differents between Fast power on and Standard? But that it just starts up faster. Like does it still do its testing or what not?

No difference, however Fast Start will take aproximately 30 seconds for the radar detector/laser jammer to start working, whereas it will be immediate after standard. (You can test this by parking in front of a walmart k-band false)

I like the scanning dots. Its one thing that tells me its working. When mine froze up in the heat the dots stopped moving.

Wait, what? I thought it was 10 seconds after start up for both of them?

x2. Before I sent my Rev 5 in for a refresh it kept freezing up, if it weren't for the scanning dot I would have never known.

Its hard to change the modes when the thing is hidden deep inside my center console. Revision 2 on my install should be coming out soon and will make my current one look like ****! I'll be able to change modes after that, until then its stuck on Highway full.

My speedometer is off by about 5%, so I use speed display, so I don't have to do any math once I get an alert. :D

I started off with the letter plus the Cylon eye, then moved to the speedmeter. I think the speedmeter is pretty cool, but found it too distracting, b/c I kept looking at the speed, and comparing it to the speedometer in my car. Went back to the letter plus the Cylon eye, and then eventually settled on letter only. I figure that with letter only, my 9500i is emitting the least amount of light for other drivers to tell that I have a RD in my car. Didn't want to use full dark mode, because from a psychological standpoint, it seems like the 9500i is not functioning. I'll probably keep switching between letter only, and letter plus Cylon eye.

^^^ Those basically are my sentiments. I too don't like advertising to other drivers that I am using a RD.

I use H.> - Letter, with scanning dot. Much more stealthy (less glare) and i know what the abbreviation is.
Plus the scanning dot because its actively scanning i will instantly know if my RD is having issues or troubles. the 1st sign of a problem is a frozen dot.
