tried painting there 9500i white? I am not doing it i was just wondering if you guys think it would help alot with heat. because these florida summers will kill a rd.

I cut out a peace of cardboard to just fit over my 9500I and wrapped it in tinfoil. Works great when i go to hot as hell NC.

I actually cut a notch in the cardboard to fit around the window mount.

Does the tin foil cut down on the GPS sensitivity or are you using it on a non 9500i? I've often thought about doing the same thing, but figured that just getting a white piece of paper/cardboard cut to fit would do just as well.

9500I. I would take it down when im using it. I did use a white peace of cardboard for a while too and it worked fine, never left the tinfoil deflector up when in use. White cardboard was good enough.
