blinder and x50 install question

The installation instructions for both the blinder and the x50 say to use a switched power source.What is the reason for this since both units have there own power on/off switches? Can i just feed them both directly from the battery (fused of course) Thanks guy's it may take me awile to catch on to this.

Usually Roy takes care of his own. He usually gives discounts to members of the board, PM him and ask. Roy is great with customer service, he wont be affended im sure.

A switched power source is just so much more convenient. Wiring up to the ignition key is very simple. Hooking it directly to the battery is poor form and can be unreliable.

Well got the blinder and x-50 installed on the bike today.Went really good no problems.Will let everyone know how it works out.Thanks again for the help.
