Right before I got home I was talking on my bluetooth as all ballers do, and saw blue and red reflecting off a semi that was headed west as I east so I knew something was up. Kept driving ten more secs and saw a cop with someone pulled over on a small bridge and it was silent until I got under the bridge and then went to like three bars then off again soon after.
Cop was facing south and was about 25 feet above me.
I am guessing this is normal? Did he only have the front radar on? I did not get a clear look at the front of his car just about 3/4 of it and then back to the road when it went off.

You better have been listening to some light Jan Hammer-MV in the background! ;)

It could be various things, Including: A radar unit on the seat, only front radar on, an odd reflection off the car ahead (the car he had pulled over) etc etc.
If you haven't had any Service Reqs. with your 8500 I wouldn't worry.
I have always said do not base your detectors range off of a LEO with a car pulled over right infront of them. There is too much odd reflections of the radar signal at that point, to try and give you a working picture of how your unit is doing... Let alone on an overpass 25feet over your head, facing perpendicular to you...

I had to look up Jan Hammer! I guess I am a little too young to have a BT at almost 21 lol.
Yeah that's true. If it was on the seat I would be super impressed. Really it hasn't said much in the past few days. The other day it would of had a great save had I been speeding. Cop was hiding behind a left curve in the highway around 12.45 on a Wednesday. He'd already gotten one guy when he was going the west lane patrol. Heading back to work he was doing the east lane. I would of had him too. It's one of those silver Chargers and I see him all the time since I spend a lot of my day near my work at various places. Not to bore you with my life or anything....

Yeah, I am 21... its just I love Miami Vice (The original).
As far as the other alerts... As long as you are getting your normal false alerts and such, I wouldn't worry much about the RD performing... it probably just fine.
