Found this car with 26k mile for $22,000. Still has a little over 1 year left on manufacture warranty. It's a little more than I want to spend and the insurance is more, but it's such a nice ride. What do you all think about this car?

I say grab it. That car will do right by you in every possible way....reliability, acceleration etc.

I ended up getting something that cost less so I wouldn't have to pay on it for as long. I almost bought the CL.

Will it hide your detector as well as the GP did from the rear?

its a good thing you did not buy that car for the price they where asking. my roommate bought the same car in a greyish color with navigation & the works for 17,500 with like 25K miles.

we found it on autotrader and even got the guy to meet us half way!

so what car did you get??????

2nd gen CLs are nice, but I think a bit overrated. I looked at them and I decided to save some money and go with a 1st gen CL instead, it's never let me down and the leather interior offers the most comfortable ride I've ever had (Better than my Mom's Lexus LX450=gas guzzling POS, and WAY BETTER than my Dad's Corolla). the I4 in mine is surprizingly responsive.

The only problem I had with it, until I had it 'fixed', was the headlights, I couldn't see very much of the road at night (I see the same complaints among drivers of gen 1 CLs and Accords of the same era), because the projectors are messed up. I wrecked the car in a guardrail one night and the headlights shattered, and the people at the shop replaced the projectors with those from a 99 CL (mine is a 97), same problem, so I ran a conversion and now my low beams use 9005 bulbs instead of 9006, problem solved, I was getting people flashing their brights at me within the first 10 minutes on the test run, passed almost 5 cops in the hour I was out, none of them even twiched in my direction.

Case and point Acura (Honda) is a very good name, their cars are very reliable and efficient, and the best part (or worst part in the case of buying them) is that they dont depreciate in value as much as their American made counterparts (GM, Ford, etc.).
