And the products are getting good reviews from the slack jawed yokels (aka RMRs English-challenged shills).
Why not take a few moments to balance out the reviews over there?

Why not just let them think the products work as advertised? The added benefit being the cops will continue to think their methods are unbeatable. How does it hurt us if people buy RMR or Cobra?

Yeah... I saw a post by a guy that said that when he ran his RMR and his Cobra in the car at the same time that the Cobra was always going off and that that "proved" that the RMR was jamming.
Apparently the RMR was not detecting the Cobra, however. :D

Apparently the RMR was not detecting the Cobra, however. :DI wonder which Cobra model it was? The 9960g that I'm currently testing doesn't make my 695 false.

I use to frequently give out advice on detectors and such that don't work until I realized that these people make great rabbits!!!!
If they want to think they are going to be saved its fine with me, I know what works

you know you guys say that cobra dont work and they are crap, but why not we tell people that they do work, and thus cops would think that radar detectors dont work. And that would result in a Conston on more maybe.

This isn't news, Amazon.com has been selling RMR products for years. Write a bad review and educate people!

I mean I know that its mean and stuff, but hey you gotta live and learn, just like I did. My first RD was a corba 50 bucks, and at that time I didnt know anything about RDs, but once when i got pulled over and my cobra alerted my after I got pulled over. I came here and knew that cobras were BLIND to 35.5 Ka Band. Boy did I learn not to buy a cobra RD ever agian.

I purchased a couple of them from Amazon just for the heck of seeing how crappy they were (and knowing that shipping was free both ways.) I did email Amazon today with some info on the fraudulent nature of RMR products and asked Amazon why they still sell RMR products. Here is a good news story testing RMR:

There is no lie required.
Return shipping is free if the product does not work as advertised. Call Amazon and ask, "If I order something from you and it clearly does not work as described in your site, do I have to pay for return shipping?"
They will tell you no.

Shipping is free on orders over $25. If a unit is defective, return shipping is free. So, yes it is free for the buyer because the units are indeed defective. There is no lie. I did test both of them and neither one under any real world conditions scrambled radar or laser as claimed in the Amazon description and the product literature. Do I feel guilty of Amazon losing maybe $10 on the transaction on shipping? Absolutely not. Why? Unlike Home Shopping Club, who actually tested the RMR products and determined that they were junk and did not work, Amazon continues to sell a large number of their products to people far less educated on the matter than us forum members. In turn you have people reading a lot of bogus glowing reviews for a crappy product with intentional false advertising.
I think your efforts are better used to be upset at Amazon and RMR for defrauding unsuspecting customers than being upset at someone pushing to have their products removed from Amazon.
Perhaps you can elaborate on your ties to RMR or why you do not feel their products are defective when their products do not do what they advertise to do?
