I had planned on getting my HP LI installed in my new Corvette Z-51 tomorrow (Friday), however my installation guy had a death in the family. And will not be able to install till after the 28th of December. Far to long for my piece of mind. On Tuesday night this week I was owned by a Texas State Trooper. He had me, 78 in a 65. Luckily I was on my way to work at 10:30 at night; on an emergency ( I work at a hospital as a First responder). He cut me a brake with a written warning. Now I'm paranoid with out my Laser defense system in place its scary to leave my home.
Any suggestions as to a good installer in the Centeral Texas Area.

I don't know what type of Laser gun he used since my LI is not installed. He hit me about 700ft I slowed down to 78 from 85. My escort radar detector informed me of the presence of Laser. He did tell me that Corvettes are hard to get because of there design and not many reflective angles; and I don't have a license plate yet as the car is new. This was a frontal assault.

Everyone who thinks that Veil alone on their car or truck is going to save them needs to carefully read the above post.

Radman 159,
May I ask where you got the LI from? I am also in Austin, TX and looking to buy then install on my BMW 335i. My V1 got stolen recently (UT campus) and I am looking for a very concealed install! Thanks!

I purchased mine from Cliff at Laser Interceptor. His customer service can not be beat. I was unable to find an installer in Austin who could due the job correctly or who could due it in my time schedule so I went to Houston to have it installed at Executive window tint and alarm on Hillcroft between Richmond and Westimer Blvd. They did excellent work, flawless. They aligned and mounted my LI HP perfectly. Cheap too. Because of this I also had them put a hard wire for my Escort 8500. I could have done that my self, but for 50 bucks; I'll let somebody else stick there hands into small tiny crevices to get wires into and out of. The C6 corvette is difficult to get into the right wiring for power, something I learned all about yesterday having spent 8hr installing and uninstalling my unit. I would not recommend trying to install this your self unless you very familiar with wiring schematics.

I forgot to explain how I found these guy's. I called Cliff at laser interceptors and he spent a considerable amount of time and effort getting me the information on places which install the LI. He personally called the shop I went too, and let them know I was going to stop by with my car. When I arrived they knew exactly what needed to be done. I went to get a bite to eat across the street and about 10 min after I was finished, they were finished with my car; awesome service.

u get your LI's installed??
I have had a 9500ci and LI Quad installed at BMW of Austin. There is a tech there who specializes in remote systems. They are probably more expensive but the quality is first class.

I didn't know that too bad I drove all the way to Houston but it turned out ok. Since I just found out about the new LI 8.0 if I upgrade will have car worked on there instead of taking such a long drive. On second thought I'll due the drive had fun on I-10 at about 95MPH
