I took a leap of faith and voted the STi, time will tell. It is a good poll, honestly it's a hard choice, there will be a new reference called the top 4 detectors instead of the top three.

True, but for some replys cost will be a consideration. I want feedback on the best detector, price no object. The reality is if a better detector or perceived better detector is $100 more, I will not let the dollars difference stand in the way. It boils down to one less night out on the town!!

I voted RX65.

Price wasn't a factor when I bought mine. Price never matters for things that are important to me and is what I want.

As for the STI, at this point I'd have to say definitely no. I want a voice on my RD. I don't care how good it is. As long as there are other "great" RDs with voice, I'll never buy it.

I was hoping it would. I always keep in mind what I'll be replacing my current toys with, and the STI would have been the next logical toy. I checked out the info page that someone linked to when they first told us about it here on the board. There was no mention of voice. I hope I was wrong, or at the least, maybe it will have voice by the time I feel my RX65 is obsolete.

Just a quick thanks to all who voted, and with your imput I orderd my Valentine today.

I haven't owned a detector in 20 years, the last one was a Bel remote with the hidden antenna. Looking forward to my new toy!!!
