Using Laser from behind windshield

Do LEO"s use Laser from behind glass? Is it legal?

I think the guys are saying that one of the newer units has a mode that permits them to use it thru glass...with diminished range.

you can shoot any laser thru glass, but it will take a little longer to aquire and as metioned it will lose range.

Police are trained not to shoot thru glass.

yeah can be done easy....just slows the lock time...so cops prefer to hit, lock and move on
