its the salt which does damage, the gritters around here throw the grit all up the car! tonight i had to do a virtual emergency stop on a 60mph road to avoid paint damage, at a complete stop the grit truck through it all up the car hit the windscreen and everything!..

that salt is some nasty stuff. my dad's black car is a dull shade of grey about now :). my white car is turning darker every day too. it definately cuts down on laser reflectivity! gotta keep those jammer heads clean, otherwise they wont do jack squat

I think that is just solid ICE...i remember when i head to the ski fiels my automatic antenna gets frozen up...haha
