I was driving south on a highway around 2pm eastern time. My Laser Interceptor which is about 13 months old v7.11 (i think) was going off non-stop (with the odd 30 second break) for about 5 miles with jamming sequence for unknown gun.
It only stopped when I pulled off on the exit and started driving east.
Any thoughts?

Definitely a little weird, so I can definitely see your concern. The LI normally announces "Interference from sun detected, please proceed with Caution" but for my LI to say that I have to be literally facing right into the sun, even partially into the sun will not make my LI give the warning message. I never got the unknown gun alert just from the sun itself but I am running a Gen 8 w/8.7 and 8.8 heads.
Were you following anybody kinda close or anything like that?
Sounds like you need an assist from Cliff.
Interesting...at the pre-houston jammer meet tag-up, we were all getting "unknown gun" when someone was shooting a laser gun and we were all headed out the the actual shoot. I think it may be a response from another jammer going off. Just a thought. Then again the 5 miles thing is tricky.

Your Gen7 should have a sun alert that says something to the extent of "Due to sunlight bla bla bla please proceed with caution"

More than likely, there was an ICC (Intelligent Cruise Control) equipped Infiniti following behind you in traffic. Let me know if it occurs again.

I'm betting it was the Infiniti too, especially if this does not reoccur! I hate Infiniti's!!

hey category4 - any chance we could meet up for another test of my setup? I'm back in your town for the holidays.

I may be able to next week, things are a bit up in the air right now but should know in a few days.
I should have all my guns back this week also. PM me later this week and we'll see what we can work out.

I have a one month old LI Dual and I get alerts all the time during sunset....I says something like "photo camera ahead, please slow down" that's the only thing my li has ever said....lol. it also says the same thing with multiple tv remotes....

Okay thanks. Will PM you later. These falses have got me worried about my sensors.

I didn't get it again although it has been cloudy today. But I am also getting a lot of traffic patrol xr falses too.
