Does quick-triggering, as in activating the radar gun for some fraction of a second, "lock" a probable speed or does it just get a random reading that might be the speed of a target? If the signal isn't strong enough, will quick-triggering still display a speed even if not fully averaged by the gun? Are quick-triggered speed readings given the same evidenciary weight as longer or locked readings? I realize that POP is a very special case of quick-triggering when the gun is actually designed to electronically "trigger" faster than most LEOs could do it manually, but what I'm wondering about here is manual quick-triggering.
