I would say try the bel express 795 then use it for a few weeks and see what you think if you dont like then get your money back there is a 30 day return full refund on radar detectors at rdaiodhhok :lol: :lol: :lol: :wink: then next thing go for a whistler pro model from www.radarbusters.com :D

You could also try the Whistler DE-1788 cordless for 30 days! It will be onsale until 2/18/2006. The only negative might be the 11.2oz weight with batteries. That would be about the same as 9.3 AA batteries!

i was also choosing between a brand new pro 58 or a used "good" detector

Zookybeanz, I am an E 795 fan as well as a Whistler fan.
I guess I was in a good mood that day and wanted to help out Whistler and give Roy a chance to sell a detector. :lol: :lol:

Not true at all, the tests were done 2 different ways, so the results are going to be different.

That's right the first test was more difficult as the radar guns were not line of sight. Let's just toss out the Ka 35.5 results (different guns) and work with the K band results. RX65 and V1 3.825 are within a few feet of each other on both tests. The Pro 58 was 722' (1st Gol Test) and the E795 was 542' (2nd Gol Test). "That Dog Don't Hunt!"

No actually the second test was more difficult.
You just do not understand do you, remember the radar guns were pointed differently in both tests.
The 1st GOL test in the fall the gun was facing the same way the road ran so the detector had maximum detection range.
The 2nd GOL test the gun was at an angle because the road they used was NOT long enough where the detectors did NOT alert a full warning all the time.
Since the gun was not pointed straight on like the first test then yes the Bel795 did NOT do as well.
If the Whistler had been tested the same way as the bel the results would have been different for the PRO58 as well.
Do not forget on the 2nd test the Bel actually did better on one of the bands then the whistler did on the first test.
So do not say that dog does not hunt, I would say the owner of the dog is deaf or blind :lol:

Why do you keep comparing the E795 to the Bel RX65 and the V1?? Of course it is not going to compete with them, neither is the Whistler PRO58.

vw242 your the only 1 and maybe 1 more person that does not like the 795 thats fine. but how many are we here that like the 795? :roll: the dog does hunt :lol: :wink: i would liked to see the whistler pro at GOL last radar test and u would seen how the dog whistler dont hunt E! :) .

Many people have been dissappointed with the E795. If you are so sure it will beat a Pro 58 then do a test with your Kband gun and post the results.
