LI Radar Detect feature?

I noticed that you can activate Ka-K-X band detection through LI Communicator. Is this only available if you have a V1 set-up with it? if not, how well does it work, anyone use this feature?

When the LI is connected to a V1 it will give voice alerts when the V1 detects radar. A cool feature but nothing essential.

this may be a noob question, but how exactly do you turn the volume up on the CPU box?

take a small screwdriver and turn up the volume on the box. Look on the box for it or on the manual

I learn something new everyday. I never knew exactly what the LI/V1 combo did, but now I do. Nice to know for future purposes.

I set my V1 up to communicate through the LI, but soon disconnected it as it drove me mad around town, because from what i could see the mute features in little L and big L on the V1 were over-ridded or disregarded by the LI which keeps announcing radar, and the band.

Does the V1>LI interface just move the sounds the V1 makes to the LI speaker? Or does it give voice alerts?

I have a V1 and LI, but also a Redline that gives me the voice alert, so I'm not sure I really need to wire the V1 to the LI or what I'd gain.

Anyone that uses this feature find it a big plus?

I would recommend NOT interconnecting them especially as you live in near a city as there is no provision to mute the LI as you can the V1 and the constant RADAR Alerts will drive you nuts. Keep them separate and let the V1 do it's thing and the LI it's thing.
