Scenario:
- 2 cops
- Crown Vic
- Camaro
- 30MPH speed limit
- Ka and Laser
On the way home from work I encountered a speed trap. I knew this coz I heard Ka
They were catching cars North Bound and I was going South Bound.
I slowed down anyway and to my surprise I got 2 laser alerts probably a second apart. I guess he was targeting me or maybe I picked up a scatter. Weird that they have Ka on and using laser.
I was pondering if I should turn around to get lasered in the front, I didn’t want to because I had no front plates…the HECK with it! I turned around! I went around 3 times but each time they already caught someone.
Decided to pull over and have a conversation with 1 cop.
I waited as he gave a guy in a red S4 a ticket… the guy looked pissed!
After that I asked him if they were using laser, he said yes. (I think it said Stalker)
Asked how he liked it and he said it was very nice and it was about time the city bought new equipment. He said the weather was nice out so it was a good day to stand out and “shoot” cars.
I told him I heard Ka and he defeated the purpose of Laser since people with detectors will be alerted with Ka..(I know I am an ASS HEHE) He said his Ka wasn’t on but maybe the other cop. They turned it off.
Anyway he was very nice and was telling me when you get stopped be nice, not like the guy in the S4… if he wasn’t so rude he would have given him a warning.
I was surprised at how nice and polite the cop was. I was afraid at first but he seemed like he liked my curiosity.
Cop said the residents on that road complained about speeders so they came to the rescue. AFter talking to him I have much more respect for LEOS... they are just human beings doing their job.
In the 5 mins I was there they caught almost 10 people, they were just lined up waiting to get ticketed!
