New RD: Naxel 2020 or Speedcrystal S or Ch-Tech KF-2030V

Hello!

I've found a new RD on radar-shop.de : the Naxel 2020 also called Speedcrystal S :wink:

Do you know it? What do you think or do you know about this RD (comments on the specifications or any review would be great :) )?

If I was a betting man, I would guess that those are probably made by BG Tech. The detector has a "Strobe Detector" which is unique to the Cobras, also made by BG Tech.

OK, I guess I was wrong. It isn't made by BG Tech, it is made by another Korean company: CH-Tech Inc.

There is a version approved for sale in the US (KF-2030V), but I haven't seen them anywhere.

Le détecteur est branché sur l'allume - cigarettes dans la cabine du véhicule. Il est livré avec un kit de matériel d'installation complet : bandes autoagrippantes, raccords ventouses et câble de branchement (longueur de 1,5 m). L'appareil doit être installé à l'intérieur car il n'est pas conçu pour l'extérieur. L'utilisateur décide lui-même s'il doit ou non cacher l'appareil. Ce qui compte, c'est que l'appareil ait un champ de vision libre sur le pare-brise en direction de la chaussée. Il n'est pas prévu pour fonctionner sur pile, sans câble. La livraison est accompagnée d'une notice d'utilisation en allemand. Dimensions : 10,5 x 8,0 x 3,9 cm. Aucune mise à niveau technique n'est nécessaire. Le téléphone mobile ne perturbe pas le fonctionnement de l'appareil.

The "SCS" radar receiver detects all radars in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. When it detects a signal it will show a visual ID and a aural alert varying with proximity. It has 2 modes - City and Highway. It also has a volume adjustment (wow!) and gets these frequencies:
Bande K : 24.150 GHz +/- 100 MHz
Bande Ka : 34.300, 34.700, 34.900 GHz
Bande Ku : 13.450 GHz +/- 50 MHz
Bande X : 10.525 GHz +/- 50 MHz

The RD cannot be detected from far away, it is CE approved. The screen has a brightness adjustment. It plugs into the cigarette lighter of the car. It must be used inside the car. The owner can decide to hide it or not. It comes with the usual accessories. It even has instructions in German. Cellphones will not affect the device.

That's really difficult to say. Measurements can vary a LOT from lab to lab depending on the test setup. Also, detector manufacturers in the past have been known to purposely inflate their published numbers by more than 10 db! So unless Michael B tests one in his lab, we won't know.

I would be pretty suspicious that the published numbers are that even, straight across the board.

Anyone else find it a little bit ironic that as has been pointed out... it's not BG Tech, but it's CH Tech that makes this new RD. Any chance it's just some secondary cover company that just bumped up each letter by one? B->C, G->H? Anyways, just seemed a little weird to me.

I'm a french radar detector user, and I've bought the NAXEL speedcrystal RD...


I have tested on french radar which use the K bande.
and it works very well! I detect the K band radar 2500 feet before
the speed control.

I bought it only 99euro!

It has been tested in a car magazine and the result was very
good : 2500 feet for K band radar and 2500 feet too for the LIDAR.

the Koreans to god bless em. Check this for the way they think. you know cell phones have cameras maybe you got 3 million pix or so if your lucky. Heres what the koreans do, instead of putting a camera with a cell phone they put a cell phone with a camera :lol: so you can get a 7.1 million pix camera with a cell phone :shock: Man what a phone you can add all the normal stuff to it like other lenes etc. Who knows with time what they will do with a detector maybe turn it into a hands feel phone or something. :wink:

also, it says, "Bande Ka : 34.300, 34.700, 34.900 GHz ", am i reading that right, that it would miss 33.8 and 35.5?
