Redline vs STi Driver upgraded

Sent the redline in for service & STI driver for upgrade at the same time and just got them back. My STi was early 06 model with the same LNAs as my redline. I did a little trip today and tested both units, both were same height on windshield 8 inches apart. Results surprised me a little;

On the many X band alerts I had the STi alerted first every time, sometimes it was by just 1-2 sec and several by 6-10 and a couple the redline didn't alert at all.

On K band they were equal, they were so close to going off at the same time, but I was keeping track of which one actually went off first, 3 ties, redline 4, Sti 6. I call that a draw.

On Ka the STi alerted first every time, ran into I/O twice, first time just cresting a hill got a short alert from Sti, nothing on redline, 20 sec later got another alert from Sti then the redline alerted. This happened all the way to the Leo. Later was 1/4 mile behind Leo traveling same way using I/O, Sti alerted first every time. The one C/O I had the Sti alerted a good 10 sec before Redline. I also had 2 short ka alerts with sti and nothing with redline.

I will continue with the test and see if this trend holds up or if my redline was just having a bad day.
Both were set up same, Pop off, TSR off, Highway mode.

Interesting, maybe a hot STi or cold Redline. Why did you send the Redline in? Maybe it should be sent back and give them a second try. I have always wondered if upgrades were worth it, looks like in your case you got a winner - hold on tight to that STi.

Do you know the Ka freq, just curious if Redline might be better on different Ka or if STi always wins. Seems some units may be hot on 34.7 and not on 35.5 or vise versa.

I've run into both Ka freq, the redline was sent in for random x band alerts after start up and service required messages.

Would love to have BS on the STi, redline too. Then I would run both, just Ka on the STi with BS and RDR off, then with k only on the redline. That would be sweet.
