Had a nice little Uniden LRD950 save the other day to 35.5Ghz Ka band over a mile range to off axis instant on radar. Officer was tucked behind a sheet metal building on a 45 degree off axis angle. And I had about a 350ft hill between me and him. Not bad at all. Good work for the 950. It also picked up K-band radar even further than this distance. It kept toggling back and forth between the two different officers. One being City kitty in a blue ford f-350 with led light bar, and alpr in a town of 550 large . Overall a great experience on the Uniden 950 thus far. I did get instant on'd last night with no advanced warning but him quick triggering me. Though, it was very late and there was no one else on the road, and the roads where very bad so wasn't over psl anyhow. Chances are he didn't even have his gun on in this instance until he shot me. No biggy. Didn't lose anything anyhow. I know they run that stretch. So thus far 2 wins for 950 1 loss. Though the loss any unit would have lost. So I would venture to say, 2 wins 0 losses so far so good. :o

There will be some coming eventually Roy :).. No worries. Will surely be making one. Just saved me from 3 tickets one day. 2 across us2 in the U.P. both 35.5Ghz i/o tickets. And one on m-33 yet another i/o 35.5Ghz ticket. So the uniden is surely a workhorse.
