A BRAZILIAN FRIEND.SERVICE REQUIRED IN THE RX65!!! HELP!!!

Dear friends, I really have a problem. Let me explain...

I live in Brazil and here, we don´t have all these stuffs and they are REALLY expensive, so I bought one from EBAY.

I really like to drive very fast, even being ilegal to have a radar-detector here in my country, I bought this RX65, because after a long time searching the model, i thought this one was very fine.

MY PROBLEM IS that in the display, sometime appears SELFCAL and always appears: SERVICE REQUIRED... I turn it off and when I turn it on again... it is good, but a few seconds later... again: SERVICE REQUIRED... Today, I was trying to test it... I saw a radar, operating... and the detector stayed quiet! And the worst of all is that I don´t have the paper of the warranty.

I can see that you really know of what you´re talking about, so I would like to know if somebody can help me... The version of my software is the v6.1

What can I do? Any idea? Do you think I can fix it?

PLEASE, SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! PLEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I can suggest is that you send it here to someone on the board along with $85 usa money and we can have it fixed for you.

unfortunately, all you can do is have it sent in to Beltronics for service :cry:

X2 :cry: One more thing you should try to do is contact the Ebay seller and tell him your problems and you may be able to send it back to him for another one...unless it was used. I know a lot of sellers on Ebay honor this and it has helped for some people on here that bought a unit off ebay
