As was mine. It wasn't overheated at all. I had mine in the center console and had just placed it on the windshield. That car temp. was average.

yes happend to me once, after 10 minutes of driving plugged it in, ka false jumping from 3 to max bars , would nto stop doing it, but remember this thread i reset the unit and problem was gone.
