Default New legit 995 and self cal3 and 7 messages

My new 995 worked fine for the last couple days then all the sudden today I keep seeing self cal3 and self cal7 pop up. Once it wouldnt stop so i turned it off then back on and it worked fine for a couple minutes then started again then stopped on its own. Should I return and exchange it tomorrow? I also got the 4 year warranty on it and its from an authorised dealer. They should just swap it with another new one for me. How often does the 995 get this problem?

Not necessarily often but I would have it serviced or replaced.

Since it was a christmas present they will let me return it for a full refund. I may just return it and order a V1. Havent decided yet.

any top 3 will do the job well, if youre getting the full value of the 995, i'd get an X50 RED, its the cheapest and depending on where the 995 is it could be 40 or so more expensive (ive seen 995s go for the same price as X50s in some places   )

I got the 995 at circuit city for $230 and the 4 year warranty for another $40. So for $270 plus tax I am completely covered for 4 years if anything goes wrong and when Bel releases the updated models and no longer carry the 995 they will swap my unit out for the newer equivalent (price wise) model. I am torn and I may just go swap this one with another new one. I like circuit citys protection plan because they will swap it no questions asked.

I decided to stick with it because of the price and warranty I got for only $280. I dont travel much and dont do alot of driveing so I figured it will work good for me.

BTW whats the latest firmware for the 995? Mine is 4.5

Yep, 4.5 is the latest. BTW...I think you made a wise choice, when you consider what you got and the price that you got it for. I purchased my V995 for $205 (plus tax) through a local retailer, and then bought the extended 2 year warranty for $30 through Bel, making it a 3 year warranty for $235. I've had mine for about 8 months now, and haven't been disappointed. Good luck...
