    Default Greetings and product recommendations

Greetings everyone! I am trying to decide on a radar/laser detector/jammer for my car. After pouring through your site I realize that I am in way over my head. I have a 2005 honda s2000 and the setup I thinking about would be a Bel RX75 and a laser pro park. Any other recommendations? Price really isnt an issue but I would like a stealthy installation as possible. Thanks again!

With the RX75 Plus you get laser jamming,or do you want to go with the normal RX75 and then a LPP?

For stealth, the diode-based AntiLaser and Laser ProPark units, with their physically smaller heads, should be the easiest to conceal unless you are mounting in a really, really "slim but wide" area, in which case the advantage goes to either the Blinder or the ZR3.

The only other recommendation that I'd like to make to you is that if-possible, I'd advise waiting-out until the much-anticipated Laser Interceptor comes on-line as a full retail production unit, and until subsequent independent hobbyist testing has come around.

For radar detection I would recommend one of the top 4 window mount radar detectors. Such as the

RX65, X50, STI (if RD use is illegal in your state/province), or the V1.

As far as jammers go, if you can wait a few weeks to see if the new Laser Interceptor proves to be a stellar performer like its tests showed.

The window mount detectors will give you better range mounted high on your windshield then the more expensive units concealed in the bumper area of your car.

I would like to get a good detector kinda soon...because Im dumb. I can hold off on the jammer untill the laser interceptor has been tested. Does it look like it will out perform the LPP?
I was set on the RX75 plus for both detection and jamming but after cruising this site it seems like there are better jamming devices out there. I am still kinda partial to the standard RX75.
Im living in south east texas (beaumont area) atm but I am moving to Denver/Aurora colorado in the near future. What detector would be best in that kind of urban environment?

The LI will kill the competition if the retail version is the same as the prototype.

Like JAZZY said, if the production-retail LI performs as well as the pre-production test model in the GOL tests, then it's going to murder the competition.

    It's worth waiting to see.

If you're looking for total-integration, it's not that the Escort jammer is "bad," per-se - it's actually one of the best integrated out there since it's designed to interface with its sister-line products. Also, it's got one heck of a solid warranty, being that Bel/Escort is a known entity.

However, looking at both present as well as past GOL tests, you should be able to see that indeed, its performance (in terms of jamming) cannot be considered "top-flight" when compared to what's available today, is certainly far less than ideal.

But even so, you should also be able to see that matched up against certain hardware, "even" the ZR3 and its sister Bel/Escort derivatives can easily perform very well, and afford its owner excellent protection. And it is this issue that's key - "know your enemy," as Sun Tzu so wisely said long ago.

Sun Tzu also said "Know thy self" and I know I am a noob in all of this! The RX75 is called a "remote detector" on the Bel site and maybe I am confused here. Does remote refer to wireless connection between the module and the jammer or remote as in....something else?

Remote means it's not a all in one unit like the normal stick in the windshield models. The components are separate.
