rx65 not so good on k band speed sign trailer

Today as i was going work i was doing 40 in a 30 and i was comming up on a curve as i took that curve at the end of the curve my rx65 just went to full blast on k band. First i was like oh **** i am being instant on but i look down the road there was a speed signs trailer, i was disspointed at the rx65 i saw the speed signs trailer after my rx65 went to full blast it was like .11 miles.

Did the curve had to do with the interfernce of the radar or just rx65 sucks on k band

I drive by a speed sign that sounds very similar almost daily and i use the RX65. Here is what you can expect you should get a warning when you enter the turn. It should give you a waring just before you come into line with radar. It will at first be a small alert but will ramp up very quickly are you exit the turn. Also turn POP off i'm guessing you have it on form the sounds of your post. If not perhaps your detector is a bit weak on Kband.

i got pop off i used to get some good range on k band but not anymore

It's hard to say maybe your antenna is slightly out of tune. You can call beltronics if you like, they might fix it for you.

i bought my rx65 from ebay, i know it wasnt a good idea but i bought it before i knew this sight. I am looking to buy a new radar detector either the sti or the v1 i dont know i havent made up my mind yet and i am still saving for one. Would BelEscort fix my rx65 even though i bought it from ebay

Beltronics will take your rx65 for trade inn for an STi and would normally get around $80 taken off a new STi. Plus it will come with warranty and a 30 day return trial period.
