KA frequency in NY State

I'm just back from a short run into northern NY State fro Canada to Syracuse. My STi picked up four KA radars but all in quite short range. What frequency are they using there, does anybody know-is this a part of the 33.8 problem we have seen on this forum? My STi is about 1 1/2 years old and has not been back to be updated.

and KA 33.8 for the K9 patrol unit dodge SUVs (yes they stop speeders).

Oh yeah get it updated cuz NYSP is deadly with their KA and Laser trust me i've been hit with both several times..

I agree with this. At least the state troopers near me use stalker radar.

Had the same experience with my STi. One 33.8 was only 150ft away before I got the signal. Some of the moving radar was the same. This was the Thruway from Buffalo to Syracuse. I was shocked at how little warning I got. Mine has been sent in for the fix.

I live in the middle of that run gsedan. Yes stalker 34.7 Ka I drive it everyday. 129mile marker to the 85mile marker. They are trickey. My RX65 doesn't give much more than .5 to .75 miles of warning. How did your STI do? IF you don't mind me asking.

Thanks for your response. I had about the same warning as you do. One was a constant on from a parked LEO at the Watertown freeway construction pointed away from my approach (reflection from oncoming traffic) and I got about .5 miles. Second was south of there when I got a much shorter hit from a LEO heading in the opposite direction-very short initial warning, full on and a longer reflection period-hills/corners may have played a role. Third was from a LEO with two cars stopped in the same direction I was going, and this is the one that really bothered me-I had perhaps 5-10 secs warning approaging from the rear, but the signal faded very quickly after I passed him. I doubt that I had any more than .5 miles from behind. Last was on Rte 37, and I had a lot of warning from an oncoming constant on.
