995 Save
I have been giving my X50 a rest and using my new 995. Today I got my first save on the 995. I was on 64 in NC with moderate traffic. I picked up Ka and it went away but I checked my odometer. Then I got the Ka again and it must have been IO because it was coming in bursts. A mile later I saw the the NCHP. I was doing 85 in 65 and it gave me plenty of time to slow down. I am very satisfied with the 995. Still love my x50 cause its been there with me for so long.
What is the FCC ID on you new V995? Just curious.
ql4g1s7....I think. It is in the car right now, but I think thats what it is.

I've compared my S7 V995 against my recently sold M4 RX-65. My S7 V995 always seemed to alert slightly earlier to Ka than my M4 RX-65. Perhaps you both should, if you haven't already, chime in on ViperDom's thread:

and post your RD model number, FCC ID, and the last four digits of your serial number. He seems to be trying to compile some statistics to see whether or not the earlier S7 horn version is truly discontinued or not, and/or for what Vector or RX Bel radar detector models.
Anyway, I've decided not to sell my S7 V995 since it is extremely good on Ka band.
