It depends where you are in Canada.if you are from Alberta,saskatchewan or British Columbia,you are absolutely safe.

Other provinces they are illegal.

It's illegal to use outside of BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan but not illegal to possess. They are manufactured just outside of Toronto, Ontario.

I had a detector ordered from the US and under item description the shipper put "Radar Detector." Customs Canada opened my package, but I still got it fine.

There should be no risk importing it regardless of where in Canada you live.
