For what it's worth Varjo - I've had the detector behind the grill for a few days now and I've gotten X-band, K-band, POP and 2 laser alerts. I'm still going to have it re-installed with the antenna poking out of the grill...

Eh Varj... Glad you asked the question- I'm running my sensor quite low (same spot as you but not behind my grill) and have been a bit concerned that it was TOO low. Looks like I might be okay. I'm including a pic, though you can't REALLY see it-
